The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

As we continue to celebrate with joy the resurrection of Jesus Christ each and every day, please enjoy the following song:
Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

    One of my favorite songs!

  2. Mindy says:

The choir at Community sang this on Easter Sunday, and I sang it at Bayou…amazing song!

  3. Glenn says:

Thanks so much, the song has encouraged me this a.m. on the jobsite. When I show up in the morning it’s like show time, I have to start directing and fussing as my crew seems to be lost. No excitement, energy, or ambition to be found in any of them. It’s a test I face but since “He Lives” I know I can answer his call and do my best. I fail often but the disappointment is buffered because…”He Lives”.

    “One of my favorite hymns:)”
